Order Literature

You are missing a particular book in the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences Library? Then you have the possibility to let us know your acquisition recommendation here.

Simply complete the online form and submit it. Generally, your acquisition recommendation can be implemented. If you have requested that a title should be reserved for you, you will be notified as soon as the book is available.

If the desired books are only available at other locations of the Osnabrück University Library, you can order them free of charge to your library location and borrow them there. Book titles can also be suggested for purchase at any time.

Please note that it is not possible to place an order if the item is available electronically (does not apply to external users) and that the delivery time can be up to one week.

In addition, university members have the option of ordering journal articles or book excerpts (up to 30 pages in length). These are made available in digital form.

In the framework of interlibrary loans, the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences Library will obtain the desired literature (book or paper copy) from another library and will then provide it for pickup at the circulation desk for you. First set up an interlibrary account at the circulation desk of your library.

The desired literature can then be researched in the Gemeinsamen Verbundkatalog (GVK). If you have found the desired literature, you can automatically copy the bibliographic data using the "Loan request" or "Copy order" on the order form. Now you must only add your personal address details and enter your library card number and your password. In addition, articles from online journals can be researched via the Online Contents database and ordered via the "Copy Order" button. If you want to pick up your interlibrary loan request in the Haste or Lingen Branch Libraries, please indicate this in the "Remarks" box. If you are registered with the e-mail service, you will be notified once your interlibrary loan request is received.
Interlibrary loan books will be available for pick up in five days. Copies are kept for about four weeks; then they are disposed of. From 1 March 2024, copy orders will be made available for download as a PDF.

Subito is the document delivery service of academic libraries in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Articles and books can be researched online after prior registration. The ordered literature will be sent against invoice directly by e-mail, post or fax to the address you want. More information can be found on the website of the subito delivery service.

If you would like to order a journal, journal volume, psychological test or other media from the university library's stacks, please select the library first.

Please note that an order can be placed no earlier than the next opening day and no more than 2 weeks in advance. Journals and theses can only be used on the premises of the library.

Your order will be placed for you at the service desk of the respective library.

Please note that it is no longer possible to order theses of the Faculty of WiSo and the Institute of Music. These theses are no longer available in printed form. However, selected theses will be made available via our online publication server OPUS.
