Room information
At Westerberg and in Lingen, there are many individual and group study rooms available, which can be reserved through our room booking system, zeitwart. In Haste, the group rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors can be used without a reservation.
The individual study carrels are equipped with PCs or support “bring your own device” so you can connect your own devices to the available monitors or keyboards.
Some of the group study rooms are equipped with PCs, whiteboards, projectors, flipcharts, and smartboards. The necessary accessories (e.g., pens, projector remote control) are available at the service counter for a deposit (usually your CampusCard). The room equipment can be viewed in “zeitwart.”
Westerberg
Room 96/E12 on the ground floor of the library is available as a family room. In addition to a workspace and a quiet area, the room also includes a play area with toys and picture books for children. A changing table is available in the accessible restroom in room 96/E10.
Please contact the service counter if you would like to use the family room.
Haste
At the Haste Campus Library, a family room is available for parents with children on the ground floor of the HR building. The key to the family room can be obtained at the service counter. The family room is equipped with seating and a place to lie down. A sink is also available. Inside the library, there is a children’s play area with various toys and children’s books.
Lingen
In the Learn & Lounge area on the first floor of the Campus Lingen Library, there is a children’s play area with a selection of toys, games, and picture books. A well-equipped changing room is also available.
The Westerberg Campus Library has a fully equipped music booth. The music studio offers the opportunity to
- produce audio recordings (e.g. podcasts) as well as vocal and electric piano recordings (+ other instruments)
- create your own arrangements using Logic Pro or Ableton Live
- access other music production hardware and software.
Use of the music studio requires prior technical knowledge and is available to students and staff of the university under the following conditions:
All students in the Producing programme at the IfM (Institute of Music) may freely book the music studio via the ‘zeitwart’ room reservation system, taking into account the library's opening hours. The transponder is issued at the service counter of the Campus Westerberg Library.
All other interested persons (students and employees of Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences) have the opportunity to work in the music carrel by arrangement and together with a tutor. Please contact us at musikcarrel@hs-osnabrueck.de
You will find the music studio on the 2nd floor of the library in room 96/265.
The Learn & Lounge area on the first floor of the Campus Lingen Library is an open learning space designed for discussion and group work.
Located right next to the children’s play area, which includes games and picture books, as well as a well-equipped baby changing room, this area offers a space for collaborative work in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Learn&Lounge area offers a wide range of opportunities for group work and discussion. Flexible seating arrangements allow you to create zones that provide a private space for working.
A smartboard and several PCs are also available.
Westerberg
On the ground floor of the library, there is a large training room in the foyer (Room 96/E16), which is used by both the University Library and the University Library of Applied Sciences. The room can accommodate up to 50 people. For parallel events or smaller groups, it can also be divided into two separate spaces. If the room is not needed by the libraries, it can also be booked by employees of both institutions upon request (bibinfow@hs-osnabrueck.de).
